Establish a clean and precise language – by managing terminology lists, databases and master data management systems.
While other systems only store word lists or nomenclatures – ESTeam technology is unique in supporting and automating the process of data maintenance and cleaning.
The quality of your business intelligence applications rises or falls depending on how good your data is. Today, knowledge is more and more kept in unstructured, free-text form. May it be the PIM system for your online shop, the spare-parts list in your ERP system, or the termbase in your language services department – the cleaner your master data management systems, the less inconsistencies, the more you can trust your analysis tools and the better you can grow your business.
ESTeam is unique in providing you with sophisticated technology to help you identify, control and clean up your text resources in order to avoid above mentioned costs and risks. How do we do this?
- Capture and classify: ESTeam’s technology is scanning your language resources and is automatically collecting and putting together related words – for instance detecting that the terms "LCD screen" and "LCD monitor" are the same thing or for instance classifying that "shoe cream" may be the word one uses but "shoe polish" is the word a competitor uses.
- Remove inconsistencies: ESTeam’s linguistic algorithms reliably identify variants in your data and meta data, for instance: "Brake shoes for vehicles" / "Vehicle brake shoes" / "Shoes (Brake-) for vehicles". Any other application treats them as three different things, thus leading to wrong subsequent conclusions. But by cleaning such data and standardizing on one variant you achieve clarity, avoiding subsequent costs.
- Remove redundancies: The combination of above plus an interpretation of the inherent rules residing in the meaning of your metadata then identifies redundant unnecessary data residing in your resources. Locating and removing them saves time and cost by guaranteeing that you do not spend superfluous time to maintain them.
