The Digital Agenda for Europe is the European Union’s roadmap for bringing the benefits of a digital society and economy to Europe’s citizens. But it can only deliver if all stakeholders are involved in assessing problems and identifying solutions. The Assembly consists of an online engagement space launched ahead of the event, 8 workshops on key Digital Agenda topics and a plenary session to report feedback on previous discussions and hold debates on the way forward.

New frontiers in the constructive symbiosis of terminology and knowledge engineering

TKE 2012 will be the 10th edition of this conference that started out under the auspices of Infoterm in 1987, and since 1990 has been supported by Infoterm and TermNet. In the course of the years TKE has developed towards wider fields in knowledge transfer for special language communication in a multilingual global society. In this context, interdisciplinary research emphasizing the intersection of different disciplines dealing with terminological aspects and knowledge engineering resources online is welcome. This conference will mainly focus on those theoretical, methodological and practical aspects that show the symbiosis of terminology and knowledge engineering by highlighting the recent advances in these related fields.

The eighth international conference on Language Resources and Evaluation (LREC) takes place in Istanbul. The aim of LREC is to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art, explore new R&D directions and emerging trends, exchange information regarding LRs and their applications, evaluation methodologies and tools, ongoing and planned activities, industrial uses and needs, requirements coming from the e-society, both with respect to policy issues and to technological and organisational ones.

The Polish Presidency of the European Union (Ministry of the Interior and Administration) and the European Commission are organising in close co-operation the sixth Ministerial eGovernment Conference, entitled "Borderless eGovernment Services for Europeans", on 17 – 18 November 2011 in the City of Poznań.

The conference, a major event during the Polish Presidency, will attract approximately 900 stakeholders from around the world: ministers from EU Member States, officials from national, regional and local administrations, industry representatives, civil society and experts.

In the area of eGovernment, the Polish Government together with the European Commission are hosting the 6th European Ministerial eGovernment Conference and Exhibition "Borderless eGovernment Services for Europeans" in Poznan, 17th -18th November, 2011. This event will be one of the largest and biggest EU events in Poland during the six month period of Polish Presidency, with approximately 800 delegates.
